Grace Algebra

With apologies to my mother-in-law, I have never cared for algebra. But as I was reading McClain's Law and Grace, the following equation came to mind:

When I answered one of these wrong in Mrs. Miller's class, all I got was a bad grade. If I answer this one wrong, I'll be a heretic. I'm sorry, I just can't handle the pressure.

Fisher - take a guess. "..." is not an answer or even a guess ;-)

Brad - I have never seen you back down from a challenge. Someone of your legal expertise has to be able to come up with an answer that will protect you from heresy ;-)

But Pastor Livingston already got it.

Just to be annoying, could X equal faith?

Grace is appropriated through faith. Grace + Faith = Everything.

And Grace + anything does result in a very wrong faith.

(This is in honor of Brad's pusillanimousity.)

    That one was too easy.

    Try this one.

    Algebra + grace = C
    C + B * X = BA

    What is C?

    rev,

c = my grade in algebra, after much grace

if that is so, the b = time and x = tuition and

BA = my diploma from grace

    If you say so.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him. So your equation can't equal everything.

It took me awhile to figure out who that comment on my Xanga came from, but I eventually landed here. Good to meet you this weekend too! We're so excited to have Nick & Charlene in Union City!

    I would agree with BReformed.

    Titus 2:11

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men ..."

    or for those post-1881-ers ;)

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men ..."

Are all men saved? Then what is missing?
