Other Things I'm Thankful For...

There are the obvious (Savior, Grace, Wife, Kids, Church, Health, etc.) that I am thankful for, but there are other (lesser, but still great) things:
Brethren Reformation is back up and the new article does not disappoint.
Brett Kunkle provided a wonderful article (gracious, well informed, fair) about his concerns with the emergent/emerging church movement. (If you have concerns too, read it, he probably says it better than you. If you have concerns about us that have concerns, read the article and tell me how it is wrong. Kunkle shares he is open for correction too.)
I just registered for a conference with incredible speakers, in a warm climate during a cold time here, with just the people I'd want to discuss theology with!

I am so looking forward to the conference. Just think we have come full circles. First was the BNYC conferences staying up all night walking the campus with a skittle's wrapper pinned to our shirt, acting as counslers. And now as adults going to a conference once again, but this time to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. Look forward not only to the conference, but also the conversations in between!!!

the company will be the greatest part. that's really the part that made the conference irressitable...like grace, right tim?

The irresistability of the conference had to do with the GRACious offer of free airfare, et al. It was only effectual, however, upon your DECISION to accept it (don't forget - God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life!)

Yes, you finally got it Tim!!!

It is not that Danny is dragged out of bed the day of the conference and forced on an airplane all against his will. It is when the conferences full beauty, benefits and majesty are completly revealed to Danny that he can not resit the desire to attend!!!

of course, in my depravity...i was choosing to reject it, even when the offers were laid out before me. it took an outside source to convince me.
