Take the Time to Read This

If you've come to my blog at all (not sure how else you'd get here if you haven't), you may have noticed there is something dear to my heart that it seems I regularly miss in articulating.

Check out this post as I think it hits it right on the head!

Just one more reason why I can't wait until:

"...these perplexities are all ultimately due to our having lost our grip on the biblical gospel." I find this an interesting statement. Who is the author referring to? I'm not sure if it's "whoever" has lost their grip on the biblical gospel or just that evangelism is finding a new expression is a postmodern world. Yes, that's right, postmodern, we're there, and we gotta deal with it. Like those of old had to deal with the "modern" taking over. They pitched a fit, too. It's not a different gospel, it's the fact that "moderns" view everything, (including God and the Scriptures) from a modern viewpoint - not necessarily God's viewpoint. Now we have a whole different culture emerging. It doesn't change the Gospel, it changes the expression. Or, I didn't understand the article ...

Revpharoh's response to your previous post rocks!

The Devil has pulled a good number on all of us

1 First off Jesus Christ isn't coming back for anyone. 2Why would he? 3Christians think he died for us and that he is coming back to save us. 4I believe that Jesus Christ is the actual Devil. this is what really happened. 5See back in the good ole days when Christ walked the earth (Christ being the Devil) he thought of this brilliant plan where he does whatever he wants to piss people off so that they kill him because he hated the people on earth (so basically an assisted suicide). 6While this is all going on Christ (Devil) had a few of his followers right a book saying he was doing good things and that is why he was killed knowing that the people who knew the truth would die and when his books were found they would be taught as the the truth. 7So Christ (Devil) goes to hell of course for suicide and the other sins he committed while he was alive and years later people start teaching his story and start worshiping him.

2In this books he starts off talking good about the Devil (because that is his actual character in the book), why would God or Jesus or anyone talk good about the Devil at all? 2If this guy is the worst thing that ever happened even if he started out good, wouldn't you forget about that part and try to make him look even worse? 3Of course you would, you don't want your followers have any sympathy for the enemy! 4But the Devil(in the bible) wasn't really the enemy because the devil(in the bible) is the person writing the book. (but of course he doesn't want us to know that) 5So in this book he rights many ways that the devil(bad bible character) will trick us into following him and he knows these ways to be true because of course he(Christ) is actually the Devil. 6He talks about how the Devil (bible character) will try to bribe you by giving you anything you could ever want, things like eternal life and riches or whatnot at the small price of your soul. 7Again this is true because that is exactly what Jesus (or the actual devil) is doing, he tells you that if you give your heart (aka your soul) to the lord (aka the devil) when you die you will live forever in heaven peacefully and happily.

3 In summary I am saying to worship the Devil (from the bible) because Christ is actually the bad guy. 2He is the one trying to steal your soul and make you his slave. 3Christ will tear your life apart if you let him! 4Worship the Devil and be free.

so that is the basic message behind my new book that will be titled The Veridicality. Of course this will be a very long book and I will need a lot of help to get it put together so if you have something to add say a story on how the devil(from the bible) has helped you, or possible a creation story, or just anything please join me in my quest to save lives!

That comment was not written by me just one of my friends and I didn't know what to say to him or if I should say anything at all.

ok, this comment doesn't belong here, but your post about the book "Humility" was so far down that i decided this was the easiest route...

i ordered the book, based upon your recommendation, and it came today. when i opened it up to skim the contents, i discovered it was bound upside down and backwards! another is on its way, but i think i'll go ahead and start this one. i'll simply look rather talented - or distracted - as i read:)

Maybe the books all come that way and you've already failed the first test by ordering a new one.

maybe it's printed that way to create humility in you as people watch you read it and think you're crazy?

you know, rev and danny, i had considered the possibility that it was purposely bound that way for some off-the-wall purpose, and figured the quickest way to find out was to call the bookstore and ask about it.

knowing just how many times i DO fail when it comes to character development, it was a relief to discover that it was a publishing mistake :):):)

but thank you both for encouraging me to doubt myself :p
